Dual operating systems with iMAC

Hi there,

I'm a complete new comer to the the mac world, so please excuse me if this question sounds too elementry.

Can I use dual operating systems with the G4 Imac

my specs are:

Model: M6498
OS X 10.4 Tiger
Processor: 800MHz PowerPC G4
Memory (DDR SDRAM): 1Gb SDRAM

Yeah, so long as those operating systems are a combination of Linux, Mac OS, and FreeBSD.

You COULD use Virtual PC to run Windows, but I HIGHLY reccomend against this unless you have a crapload of RAM in your machine. Even if you have a gig, it'll still lag so bad that you won't want to run Windows anymore.

If you want to run Linux, though, that's another story. There are easy ways to install Ubuntu Linux onto a PPC Mac. You should find everything you need here: http://www.ubuntu.com/

And, Linux is free (at least, most of them are).
