Right click (Ctrl click) on the empty space between the back/forwards buttons and the (+) button. Click "Configure menu items" (or something along those lines), you'll see all of the buttons and you can drag them back to the window.

Whenever I use a graphics tablet, I more often than I care to end up dragging stuff accidentally out of Finder windows (actually took a screen grab eventually so I'd know what I needed to put back on the side) the Dock, etc. Wouldn't surprise me if I've dragged a button or two off my Safari toolbar.

Gotta be careful sometimes because if you drag something off, it goes *poof*! and it's gone!

Sometimes do it when using the trackpad or a mouse too.

Holding down Command while dragging will *poof* most any button on a menu.

Indeed. It'll remove the Stop/Reload button, the Print button, the text size buttons, or the location/google fields...but it won't remove the Home or Back-Forward buttons.

Weird.

I never realised you could do that with toolbar items in safari - i seem to nearly remove items in my bookmarks bar all the time. I guess i never try and command drag toolbar items.
What's the betting i break it this week now that i know about that?
