I've secured a dot com domain name from a company in America but have just found out that it takes 60 days to transfer any .com name to a UK company for hosting.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent web hosting company in the US? This is the company I usually use in the UK: http://www.123-reg.co.uk/

All the US ones I find seem to be a bit amateurish in comparison :(

Are you looking for a web hosting company or a domain name registrar?

If you're looking for a registrar, godaddy.com is a very good one.

Hmm, after reading the Nodaddy stories, I'm thinking about switching from godaddy's domain registration.

I have never had a problem with GoDaddy.

The host I have had problems with is iPowerWeb and its sub companies.
