GarageBand mixdown to MP3

how do you guys mixdown your song to mp3 instead of m4a using garageband? if impossible, what program can i use as a converter?

I was making a ringtone in GB last night and had to export it to itunes and then choose import as Mp3 before I could then change it to an Mp3 . Maybe someone here has an easier way...?

Export to itunes, then convert it to mp3 using itunes (adjust your setting to do it)

Goto the advanced options in itunes, then choose import, and import as mp3. Then everything exported to itunes from garageband is turned into an mp3 straight away.

Not sure if this is the same as what someone above said or slightly different, my apologies if it is!

And after you do that you can always convert songs in your itunes lib by right clicking or crl+click the songs or highlight all your songs and click convert to mp3, works very well.
