I've got a pocket hard disk which uses a 5400rpm Western Digital 2.5" drive and I'd like to swap it with the 60Gb in my macbook. My question is, if I fire it in the machine and put the recovery disks in, will it just be able to format the drive the way OSX needs it, and will it take long? I'll be back at my work placement in the morning and will need Jimmy (my macbook) for then.

The reason I want to upgrade the disk is because I use my mc a lot more than I use my pocket drive and I want all my music on Jimmy so I can listen to it at work.

To erase and install the two recovery discs on an internal drive takes close to two hours.
