a 20" 1.25 GHz iMac has recently become the newest member of my mac collection, and i was wondering if i could take out some of the ram from my PowerMac g4 dual 450 mhz and put it in the iMac g4....is the ram compatible with the iMac, and how hard is it to install ram in a g4??
also, how much ram does the 20" g4 support? some sources say 1gb, others say 2gb.

i meant to also ask if the imac would support leopard, and how much ram is needed to run it smoothly.

The Power Mac G4 uses PC100 SDRAM while the 20" G4 iMac uses PC2700 DDR SDRAM.

So not sure at all if they are compatible, doesn't look like it.

Wait and see what others have to say about this.
