windows don't animate like before

i just noticed that when i double click my windows to minimize them to the dock, they don't do the twisty animation anymore... they just resize down to the dock.

what setting did i mess up?

I really don't think you are responsible for any mess-up! Go to the Blue Apple, to the far left on the menu at the top of your DeskTop, and click on it. Scroll to Dock and a menu should show to the right with more options. The bottom option is Dock Preferences.

Click on it to open the Dock Prefs. Have a look at the options available to you. You'll see there are actually a few different ways you can configure your Dock.

If you are unable to set things back exactly how you had them before, then post back and someone will help you more....
