Always having to force quit Mail

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know why Mail will not quit when I click quit? I always have to force quit it and if it's still open when I want to shut down it just stops my MBP from shutting down until I force quit.

Are you using IMAP? It may still be in the process of syncing. I've come across that before. Just let it be for a while, or take that account offline before quit.
