i have a camcorder....and it recordes in a mini dvd....i don't want to take any chances to damage my dvd drive in the macbook pro...so before i wanted to ask if the dvd drive in the mac book pro can read or accpet small mini dvd discs......please help!!

No, it will not take anything but standard size. I also had a mini DVD camcorder when I got my MBP. The other down side to that is that the camcorder compresses the files onto the dvd making for very poor video quality once exported. I wound up selling my mini DVD cam on Ebay and getting a mini DV cassette with firewire. So worth it!

Yeah man, you dont want to shove those little disks in there.. its a good thing you didn't because i imagine it would have a tough time ejecting.
Just like dak said, use a firewire but you're media files must be in a digital format.. it wont work with any other camcorder that has a firewire port.
