Your Mac's Specs
MacbookAir iPhone6
hi

i'm experiencing some problems with my network
running a macbook imac and an ibook.

despite having four bars and full strength, it won't open
web pages and seems to hang. when it occurs its all all three machines
so its something to do with the network.

anyone offer some simple network checking solutions to try
and stop this happening?

best regards

Sounds like you Macs see the router or base station - judging my the signal strength. It is possible you need to do a DHCP release renew on the router. Possibly try disconnecting the router and plug it back in, but first see if you can connect to the router through the browser You might have to plug a RJ45/Cat5 cable from Mac directly into router. What router do you have?

It is typical to have the internal network working, but if the router does not have a valid IP address from the host provider you won't leave your private address space.

RJ45 or Cat5, Cat5e is your cable you use to plug into the Network card.

What modem are you using?
