Upgrading Comic Life to Comic Life Deluxe

First and foremost, please understand that I have recently switched to the Mac, so my question has NOOB written all over it.

I like Comic Life (it came pre-installed with my MacBook Pro), and I was thinking of getting Comic Life Deluxe. Do I have to uninstall Comic Life (delete it by putting it into the trash) before I install Comic Life Deluxe? Or can I just install Comic Life Deluxe overtop of Comic Life?
