Network Printing

I need to print form my Ibook to the newtork printers here at the office.. when I try to add a printer, it finds only a few on the network. When I point to the one I want (not listed) by its IP it seems to find it but I can not find the right driver listed when I select the drivers for a Sharp printer. I have downloaded the correct drivers and ran the install program, but they still are not listed in the selection of availible Sharp drivers..... any help would be greata.

I've run into this once and was able to solve it by selecting the generic printer driver that came with OSX vice the specific printer driver I got from the manufacturers site. I have no idea why, but it worked for me. Maybe it will work for you.

It looks like it finds the driver now, but only prints out a ton of blank pages....

If it's a network printer, the local driver doesn't mean much. You'll probably need to install a cups drivers:
