Can't empty the Trash

:radioacti The trash remains full after i emptyed the trash and when i open the trash, all the files are still there and won't gone until i click them one by one, i don't know how did that happen, maybe because i intalled the Boot camp and Vista too?

my OS is newly reinstalled.

Click on the Apple Menu in the top left of your screen and select Force Empty Trash. See if that does the trick.

huge problem! it seems that my desktop misfunctions too, the picture i captured did show on the desktop ,where is it now ??

to Kash, thanks for replying, but no, i can't find the Force Empty Trash buttom~ can you post a picture on the forum please?

Oh wait, that's not where I saw it (that's Force Quit, doh!)

I know there' an option for it in Onyx and MainMenu. You're gonna have to download one of those two programs to do it.

make sure that finder is yourselected 'program' and then hit shift+option+command+delete

There is a Secure Empty trash in the Finder menu next to the apple menu.

if the regular empty trash is acting funky i dont think the secure empty will help at all.

sounds like you might also want to repair permissions as well

to friends above, thanks a lot for your help, and my roomate has already reinstalled the Mac OS for me (twice in a week!) and everything is all set now~wow~
