The title says it all! The "Apps" folder automatically opens when I fire up my new MB. I have never had this problem on my Imac. I've tried adjusting the login preferences in the "accounts" setting but there is no entry in the list of programs for "Apps".

Any bright ideas as to how to stop this happening?

:)

Are you shutting down with the window open? If you are, it remembers that, and opens it back up when it starts back up.

if the above isn't the answer and it could well be...
Drag the app folder from finder to the dock. Click and hold or right click and the option to 'open at login' is on the bottom of the Apps list, it might be ticked... Untick :)
