Hi.

In Sharing > Services, I started FTP Access but I'm not able to connect from other computers on the same home network. The other computers can ping this FTP Mac but ftp://user:password@<my ip address> fails, so does command line FTP.

I'm not seeing any configurations settings for this FTP service and I'm not seeing anywhere to add FTP privileges to users on the FTP Mac.

I'm a Mac novice so I might be missing something basic, but I know it's not a firewall issue. OS X 10.4.8, pretty vanilla setup, but also have Personal File Sharing and Windows Sharing started.

Suggestions?

No, that fails. Tried with ForkLift "connection refused by host." and Firefox (ftp://...) "can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1"
