Why does Apple not sell & install 802.11n card?

Is it because the standard is not "officially" approved at this point in time?
It would seem that they could do so, just like selling a memory upgrade.
Maybe it's an 'Apple' thing - does Apple sell and install graphics cards if you wanted an upgrade? or not?
