Wireless Internet with T-Mobile

Hello,

I cannot get a DSL connection where I live (Los Angeles), and don't want to pay for the cable I wouldn't use just to get the internet.

I like the idea of connecting with a card, and have experienced it in Europe on a different provider. Apparently, T-Mobile doesn't offer a card that would be supported on a Mac. I know Verizon offers that, but it is more expensive than the cable+internet.

Any alternatives using T-Mobile or any other GSM provider?

Sprint also offers wireless broadband card. If you currently own a Verizon phone with a voice plan, you are eligible to do the broadband promotion which is alot cheaper.
