- Powermac G4 Dual 1.42 1Gb
I have a Powermac G4 dual 1.42 with 1Gb of RAM and it seems to be haveing issues with the powerdrive. Initially it started making a duh-duh-dunt sound as if it where having trouble reading the disk. It didn't matter what type of disk. Assuming the problem was mechanical with the drive I bought a replacement. Same issue with the new drive. It will eventually read, but has an aweful time doing it and sounds horrible. Not being that computer savvy would this be related to an issue on the motherboard? i plan to upgrade soon and would like to be able to sell this one without issues, but I'm stumped!
Thanks
