Hello everyone my first post here so if this has been done before please either put a link up i can follow and read the thread or please bare with me.

i am going to be creating a movie using imovie on my macbook 1.8GHz, the problem is some of the video footage is in windows .asf format and i am looking for a peice of file converstion software to convert it to either .mov or .wmv (have flip4mac installed) the trouble is as i don't do much in the way of video editing i don't really want to purchase 50 quids worth of software.


does anyone know of any free file convertors, or alternatively those that offer a free 30 day trial!?
