 Ok...been to everywhere that I can think of and still having problems on network sharing between a windows laptop and mac. I am using a T 42p laptop with an MBP; server assigned network addresses and a Linksys w54g wireless router. The problem SEEMS to be the Windows Firewall on the T42 because when I turn it off, both computers see each other and can share files. I have added SMB SMB2 and SMB3 to open ports 137 thru 139 respectfully. Nothing seems to work unless the firewall on the Windows machine is inactive. Does one have to go to static addresses? Is there something that I have yet to enable yet?
