My magsafe power adapter light has dimmed so badly I cant really tell its on, its green which should mean it's charged but it says its 0% and isn't charging my Macbook but just keeping it awake. I checked the pins and it seems fine is there anything I should be looking for?

HMMM, I know the old ibooks had a dc in board problem. Does a macbook use the same dc board as the ibook did?

if you have a friend with another adapter i would try that, if the problem presists it is most certainly a power problem and should be taken to apple asap so you can avoid doing any permanent damage to the electrical components or the battery.
