Hi, switched from Windows after 11 years!

Hey everyone, just got my Macbook Pro today. I'm transfering files right now and pretty much will spend the day learning this new great OS! Been using Windows since 10 years old, I'm 21 now.:headphone

So let me get this straight. Is it really true that to uninstall a program, I just delete it? There are no other traces of it around the OS??

In some cases, yes, you can just delete it. Some programs come with an uninstaller-type program that will remove all traces. If you're really paranoid about traces being left (even those that don't take up a lot of space), I highly recommend AppZapper which while not a freebie, works very well.

Congrats and welcome to a very friendly forum. Be sure to try the Search feature, there's a wealth of knowledge out there. We have a lot of switchers here and chances are that if you have a question, someone else has probably asked it.

or u can spotlight the name of the app, and delete every item listed.

Hey we both started using windows around the same time. Except I'm 32! I don't know why but it just creeped me out knowing a 10 year old was mastering windows at the same time. At least I have three years of mac experience on you. So Naaa!:dummy:

lol I don't think I was intentionally mastering windows (3.1) when I was 10, I just thought it was cool to learn Windows while playing my games like Doom.
My parents were ****** when they saw me opening up my first PC though.
