Want suggestions for photo editing software

Hello I'm back after a 10-15 years on a PC. My computer should be coming in anytime now. I need some help with some software for my Imac 20" . Looking for photo editing software? what is your opinion?

aperture, or anything else out there? on my old pc I worked with Adobe photoshop.

Hi aj!! Welcome!! I don't know much about photo editing programs but I just wanted to say hello and welcome you. You'll find alot of useful info here and I'm sure some one will pop in soon enough to answer your question.

I think photoshop will work with Macs?

You may want to try GIMP since its free, but photoshop will work on OS X.

Aperture is more or less for tweaking photographs and such.
