How do i make a "U" with the 2 dots above it?
I know how on a pc (alt-154), how do i do this on a mac?

hold the option key
press "u"
press the letter you want the umlauts to go above

so if you want a "ü", it's option-u-u

BTW, the complete range is:

Option+e, then type e = é

Option+u, then type u = ü

Option+i, then type i = î

Option+n, then type n = ñ
