Hi all,

my MacBook Pro currently has a one piece 1GB ram. If I were to get the additional original 1GB 667Mhz DDR2 from Apple, it will cost me twice as much than to go to a local retailer where they sell the same specs used in PC. Are the RAMs used in PC less superior or will it even do damage to my MacBook?

thank you

Your Mac's Specs
Black Macbook C2D 2GHz 3GB RAM 250GB HD iPhone 4 iPad 3G
Macs share hardware with their PC counterparts. So RAM is RAM, nothing special about Mac RAM.

As long as you put in RAM with the same specs as the one in your Macbook Pro, you'll be just fine :black:
