I really need some help with my MAC. OSX ancient 2002 model.

I can not get the installer disc to load so I can reset my password cause I can not remember my password.

I have the OSX disc that you load to install the program. I keep getting the sign on screen even though I load it hit restart and select the C key.

I need to be able to sign on log on and then click on my computer properties.

What should I do? Call Apple customer service?

Instead of holding down "C" you should boot into single user mode by holding down cmd + s. Then at the prompt enter

passwd <username>

where username is the login name of the user whose password you want to change.

also, no <> are required
