OSX appearance

Hi! Is there a way to remove the shadows (3D)effects on OSX appearance? I've problems with my eyes which do not exist with OS classic appearance.

I'm not aware of such a feature. You can change text size in Accessibility, but that's about it.

Unfortunately for you, OS X is not as customisable as Vista for example. Apple like their OS to look pretty uniform on all machines, which is good for most because it's does look attractive.

This is the only thing I know of to get rid of the shadows. That said I don't know how to get rid of the other 3D effects.

In System Preferences, under Universal Access, there are some options that you could play with. Start with the contrast.
