Does the DCHP lease button in configure network have the same funtion as "Repair" in windows XP ?

I was just wondering

Not exactly. XP Repair disables the wireless network, enables it again, joins a network, and gets a DHCP lease (if you are using DHCP). The button you mention just renews the DHCP lease (ie, it drops your IP address and gets another one from the DHCP server, which is probably your Wireless Router). It's the same as doing ipconfig /renew in the Windows command line.
