How Hot is your MacBook? (Literally) ..mine is 138 F...

i downloaded the istat pro:

so that i could see how hot my computer is....

right now it says the "CPU A " is at 138 F is this normal??? i remmeber some guy on here saying that his only gets to 130 max.


can u guys also run this on ur computer and tell me what ur temperature is??

no, max CPU temp is more like 180-190F. it should only ever get there occasionally.

120-140F is my normal range using temperature monitor.

i have a 2Ghz coreduo macbook.

Under normal use on my 17" MBP I see about 135-140F. After a Windows session with heavy gaming I'm usually in the 150-160F range.

For web browsing etc I am usually around 135. After heavy gaming I get up to 180. I have a 1.83ghz core duo.

my mbp averages around 130-140F, it suprisingly averages 130F when im just surfing the web also.......
