just got my ibook g4 today, it has a few problems though.

as far as i can tell neither usb works and it cant read dvds. of course i am going to send it in but does anyone know what the deal is?

What are the specs on this ibook G4? CPU speed? what size screen? 12" Trying to figure out which one you have. some older ones might have not had a DVD drive. What USB items are you trying to plug in to it?

i had to restart because of updates a few minutes ago and now it is seeing usb items. i need to test the dvd drive again. my specs are: 1.33 ghz, 512 mb ram, superdrive, and it is the 14" model.

Cool on the USB. That model for sure will read DVD's.

well i know it will, it'll burn them too. but it might not be working is all.

Forgot to ask, is this used or new? Does the drive read CD's?

it's used. right now i am playing a dvd fine. that was weird. i guess i am good to go.
