I want to move my mini downstairs into the family room for playing DVDs, iTunes, maybe the odd slideshow.

What's the best way to remove all the stuff currently on there that's now on my new iMac? Do I just drag apps, files, folders to the trash, or maybe go through the process of archive and reinstall detailed in the sticky above?

Thanks.

If you're planning on using the Mini for an entirely different purpose, I would say do a complete Erase and Install. Ultimately it will take less time than going through and erasing things one-by-one, and you'll wind up with a "cleaner" machine.

Of course, make sure all the data you want to save is moved somewhere else.
