Restore MacBook HD Documents folder?

A couple of days ago, I inadvertently lost (deleted?) the Documents folder from the left sidebar of my MacBook HD menu when I tried to drag and drop it to the Dock (to create an alias) and it duly disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Now, when I turn my Mac on, the HD screen sidebar shows Desktop, Music, Pictures, etc. but NOT the Documents folder. I've only had my MacBook since Black Friday, and there weren't TOO many docs in the folder, but I would like them back if possible.

Is there a way to restore this folder back to its original location? I would be extremely grateful for any help you can give.

is it still under your home folder? if so, just drag it back to the sidebar.

if not, post back

Thanks, kgeier82, that's exactly where it was.

Being new to Macs, I wasn't sure where it was located, but after you mentioned the "home folder", I did a Finder search on it and located my Documents folder again. Simple!

Thanks for all of your help.
