Does anyone know of a good file converter I can download? I want to burn some files for a friend but since I use NeoOffice they're .sxw files and I don't believe her computer can read them so I'd like to convert them to .doc files before I burn them.

I thought you could save the file as a .doc in neooffice???

If not, try just changing the extension manually... select the file>>>Press ENTER>>> Rename it "Whatever.doc"... you''l get a warning, select "Use .Doc"... And find out if that works on her machine.

Changing the name in Finder won't work. It'll still be a .sxw with the wrong file extension.

Open the file in NeoOffice, then select File -> Save As and choose 'Word 97/2000/xp' as the file type. It will save as a .doc file with the right extension.
