hi

thanks for the comment i have a macbook, but the price on this is good
and it would be a cheap option to double up with my macbook. i wish they would make a 12 13 inch titanium, i don't fancy 17 inch, just my preferences

regards

I generally never tend to buy things off ebay that are really expensive, I just don't trust people enough, but I'll also agree wtih sixslinger and say save up and just get an intel mac.

He already has an Intel Mac.
I would stay away for a few reasons:

1. way too expensive. It looks like it ended at over $875 US. That is simply insane. It shouldn't have gone for any more than $600 US.

2. The seller has absolutely no feedback, good or bad. Not a good sign.

3. The seller is listed as a "private seller". Red flag again. No feedback and private seller equals bad news.

4. NO software discs included. It simply says "software included". That could be interpretted as (and is probably the case) that it is installed already, but he won't be including the discs.

EDIT: I also love how people feel the need to put in how much they paid for an item originally when they bought it. That holds no relevance to how much it is selling for or how much it should sell for. Just because you paid a bundle for it, doesn't always mean you are going to get as much as you "think" you should. Leave that info out if you are selling something on eBay. :black:

Good call. I wouldn't buy anything from someone with zero feedback or no eBay transactions yet... CERTAINLY not something in excess of $500.

hi

thanks for the advice - it went way too high for me, and i stayed
away.

i think the 12 inch powerbook is so cute, and wish they would bring out
a 'small' titanium, the i would save up as suggested on here. the 17 in
macbook pro is awesome but if its not your bag, then it's not what you want.

if would be good if apple did requests - now theres a thought:black:

best regards

No offence, but you clearly don't understand how expensive Macs - even second hand ones - are over in the UK! For that piece of hardware, £450 is very cheap in the UK.

hi

math

yep totally agree with you our friends in usa don't
realise we live in rip off britain, and if we complain we get told thats
what you are used to paying? - eh.

anyway this auction was way way low for the spec in the uk, and he was throwing in isight as well which is going for silly money on ebay on its own, because apple have discontinued it.

my brother is just back from la where he bought an ipod and bose speakers
at half the cost of uk.

best regards

Hi Brendan,

Glad it's not just me who thinks that we get ripped off with Mac prices over here! I wonder if it'd be worth taking a trip over to the States to get some nice cheap mac booty? ;)

I'm glad you didn't get ripped off with that PowerBook though - I've had a few problems with scammers on eBay and I've decided that if something seems too good to be true, it usually is!

Yea that's way to much for a 12", I got my 15" with a superdrive and 1gb of ram for $880 off ebay and that includes shiping. You can get a better price if u wanted to.
