Move files from iPod to Macbook

Hi guys...

I recently switched to the mac world and so far so good.

My question is: How do I copy files from my ipod to my macbook and get the file names. In the windows world, I used an app called podplayer that would copy the files from the ipod to the pc and rename the files from the cryptic ipod filename to the artist - track - title format.

What is the best way to replicate said behavior?

Im not sure about the "naming", but for the copying use thishttp://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14982 just plug your iPod in and select what you want to copy from the ipod and press copy. Then make sure you back your files up!(don't make the mistake I did!)

i just got my macbook today. my ipod was formatted with my PC etc. can i download Senuti and just plug in my ipod?
