Ok im trying to save the pics on THIS website:

http://hyori.compuz.com/zboard/view...&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=362

i can either drag the photo into iphoto or onto my desktop....however when i tried to upload it to www.imageshack.us it wouldnt let me

THATS when i realized that the picture is saving itself as a"document/txt" file instead of a normal picture jpg file!

...When i try and direct link the picture

http://kr.img.blog.yahoo.com/ybi/1/28/3e/g...?1172297798.jpg

its a bunch of jumbled words.

does anyone know why it wont let me save it as a JPEG???

Ive tried to drag it on my desktop and rename the file by adding a "jpg" extension at the end and it still doesnt work. i think this might work if i could only try and "save as" but there is no save as function on the mac

of course i know i can do a screen capture but i'd much rather save the picture directly to save quality loss.

can anyone help me out?

well, it's certainly not ok in TOS:

Short version of the ImageShack® Terms of Service:
Don't upload anything that can be even remotely construed as illegal, pornographic, copyrighted, harassment, or spam. If you do, we will ban you, delete all your images, prevent you from viewing any images hosted on ImageShack®, and report you to the proper authorities (if necessary).

i dont have no mac's
if i recall correctly there is code that you can write as a publisher that makes it rather difficult for people to steal your images....i think this is one of those cases

but yes you are attempting to repost copyrighted material on your own site which is against your hosting policy and im sure that it is probably against the law as well. good luck in your endeavor though

have you tried context clicking/right clicking on the image?

it's working for me just fine in windows - doesn't appear to have any of the usual countermeasures.

regarding the copyright issue, it depends on what extent the owner of the copyright wants to guard against copyright infringement. i'd guess that you're likely to get in much deeper trouble with imageshack for doing it than the c.o. for taking it.
