Windows Media Player version 9 will not play on my Imac

iMac
Machine Model: iMac4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
I get this error: "The application Windows Media Player quit unexpectedly
Some ideas?

remove it and download flip4mac - a quicktime plug in.
