can anyone tell me how to change my clock settings to the right date? i knew how to do it i just forgot when i open system prefs. it won't let me do anything can anyone help me?

If you uncheck the use Network Time Server under the system prefs, it will let you enter the time/date manually

 Date and time needs password authentication. Just click the lock icon -lower left of the window and you get prompted for your admin password ;)
