Well, some sites don't seem to be working, when I know they should. This happens in Firefox, Safari, and in Mac Messenger. My friend just upgraded me from 10.3.9 to 10.4.8 and installed about 20 programs. Any ideas?

Are you hooked up o a router? Maybe the router has blcoked those sites. Is your friend surfing on a company intranet?

Is Peer Guardian in amongst those 20 programs? It'll happily block plenty of websites you don't want.

Yup, that would be my guess too. A parental control, or a firewall, or a router based firewall... any of these might be blocking content?
