The "+" button browsers

13' Black MacBook Core Duo 1.25 GB Ram 80GB HD
I was under the impression that when you press the + button it should maximize your screen but why does it make my browser window smaller and place it in the bottom left hand corner?

I was under the impression that when you press the + button it should maximize your screen but why does it make my browser window smaller and place it in the bottom left hand corner?

The + button is actually zoom, not maximize. It makes the window as big as it needs to be to display the page you are viewing.
