When I go to uni this September, I'll probably be buying an external widescreen display to have a dual screen setup in my room.

I love the design of the older acrylic Apple cinema displays and would love to get one (with a DVI-ADC adapter). Ideally, I'd want a 23" HD one, but depending on how much I can earn over the summer holidays, I may have to settle for a 20 or 22" one.

But, how do they compare to the current aluminium cinema displays? Or any competitors like the Dell widescreens?

Would it be good to play games? How fast is the pixel response time? Is there any ghosting in games/movies?

I currently have a 17" LCD Studio Display connected to my G4 Cube and the colour, brightness etc is very good, but I can't try games because my Cube can't really run them.

Thanks.

I have one of the 22" Acrylic displays with the ADC to DVI adapter. Looks very nice. I have played Halo and a few other games.
