ut2004 demo help plz

Hi, I downloaded the demo from
http://www.unrealtournament.com/ut2004/downloads.html

when i open it, it saids error, cannot find file 'desktop'

maybe this demo does not work off that site

can anyone pelase refer me to a UT2004 demo that works or how i can get this demo unarchived and installed?

i am running a c2d black macbook

that is the patch and i already have that downloaded.

i can't get the demo to unarchive into a dmg. is there anyone that has or know where i can find one?

I would have a look at the settings where you have set the location for the downloads, just check it to see if it's set for the Desktop.

Also uncheck the option to Open Safe Downloads and then redownload the .dmg file.

Then launch Disc Utility:

Macintosh HD>Applications>Utilities>Disc Utility ...

Then go to File>Open Disc Image ... navigate to your .dmg and click Open.

See if this alternative method produces a result. Please post back regardless.

Sorry about that, the link you posted is not the full demo (it should be >200Mb), I'm currently downloading from here:

Update:

Well it works but plays like a dog on my MacBook Pro so I doubt you will get any joy with your machine.

The universal patches do not work on the demo btw.
