I say, you chaps*. I'm getting ready to buy, probably placing my order Wednesday.

So, how do you people find your iMac? Has it disappointed you in any way?

Thanks.

I have a 24" iMac and love it.
I used PCs for almost 20 years and switched to Mac 2 months ago. Not regretting it in the least. Keep in mind there is a learning curve which takes a little bit of time but it is a gentle curve.
The best piece of advice I got from this forum is. "Remember, it isn't XP!"
:)
Enjoy,

I'll have to agree with the other opinions.
This is the best balance of everything; looks, power, compact footprint, and best of all, it's a Mac!
You'll love it.

It's like the Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
17" was too small
24" was too big
20" is just right

I would have to agree with what everyone is saying, the 20" iMac is truly awesome.

When I first got mine, one of my Windows PC using friends came round and was totally amazed at the Mac and kept on asking me "but where's the computer?" lol.

To this day it never ceases to amaze anyone who walks through my bedroom door! :mac:

Been a PC man for many years. I got the 24" iMac two months ago and am delighted with the computer and the operating system.

I got the 24" as I do a lot of graphics work and needed to move plenty of windows and palettes around in using Photoshop and other apps.

I have to say I think previous members are correct that the 20" is the sweet spot for most users, though. If you do get the larger 24" make sure you can place it lower somehow so that you don't get neck strain from looking up at the top of the screen. On a normal computer surface it is pretty high up there, and with bifocals it is even worse on the neck after working for any time.

Both the 20" and 24" intel cores are great machines. Fast and sure footed.

Only disappointments are with Photoshop and Illustrator not being Universal yet.

It's been 13 months now - COME ON!!!

OK, I've placed my order!

Why do I always feel so guilty when I buy Big Stuff?

I blame my mother.

Classic! That's great...

<<clicks itunes, and scrolls to Pink Floyd "Mother")

I too was a wee bit nervous when I dropped $2k on my iMac... but Wow, what a great investment it was. I only kick myself for not switching earlier. Enjoy Martin, Enjoy.

Loving my iMac 20"... I coupled it with an external Asus 19" and am loving the dual screen action... this baby can really hold its share of work... it feels nothing, even when i have photoshop CS2, dreamweaver 8, fetch, Firefox, iTunes and a hol-lot of finder windows open.. honestly it is a great beast...

i attached a picture of my layout...
