com.apple.mail.plist .... it's in YourUserAccount>Library>Prefrences ... seek it and destroy it ... then restart.

heya pulse 8. i called apple support (free cos of apple care) and they told me to reset the pram which didnt work so then they said do what you said and restart and it works fine.

but thanks anyways.

Just for future reference, christm.

Does deleting the com.apple.mail.plist get rid of all your email account settings and you have to re-enter all the data? Or is it kept and safe somehow?

the apple guy said i may have to re enter my email details e.g. username, password, server etc but once i have done that my email should be there. This is the case with my .mac account so im not sure about gmail etc..

Ok so it does wipe your info then.

It's because I had told some members to do this to solve some Mail.app quirkyness and warned them they might have to re-enter all the user info but was hoping it would not do this.

Dang it! It does... :blind:
