I have a quad G5 with more than plenty of ram... I recently bought my wife a used dual G5 with very little ram...

Is it possible that I could remove two of my ram sticks from my Quad and put them into her dual, or would the ram not match up?

I've got the 4x2.5 she has the 2x1.8

my current installed ram type is: DDR2 SDRAM PC2-4200U-444
her current installed ram type is: DDR SDRAM PC3200U-30330

I'm guessing this just wouldn't work?

Thanks!!

You're right - the RAM is completely incompatible between models. DDR2 cannot be used in a DDR socket (and vice versa)

Thanks
