I've saved a few of my images under the .png file extension. I'm finding that these files aren't the most accepted file type as of yet. Case in point: Myspace doesn't recognize .png files as valid. What's the deal?

Without doubt, .gif and .jpg are the most commonly accepted formats for the web. You will find that most graphics programs are quite conversant with .png, but not all web sites.

If you are a Linux user, you will find that most distros are VERY conversant with .png - it seems to be a favorite format for icons.
