iBook not charging/process point?

hey guys,
my friend has an iBook g4 like me with they have OSX 10.4.8 and are having trouble with their charger. the charger works there isnt a problem with the actual charger and it still glows when it is plugged into the computer. The actual computer doesnt register and charge it stays at the 1% although the power charger light glows orange, saying that it is charging but the % doesnt go up.

any ideas as to where i can findany more information about this or if it is a fault with the computer?

I had this happen to my iBook. It may be a fault with the DC-input board. Theres a circuit board where you plug in the charger and it could be causing the problem. Replacement is about $80 plus labor.
