I brought a G5 1.8 power mac from a friend some months ago, but i never got an installation disc with it ( i got it cheap as he was desperate to fund his around the world travels) And now the machine is frozen at the password stage. and i can't reboot it. I have been told if I got Tiger OS or Leopard, I can use these discs to install from scratch. IS this so?:blind:

Welcome to Mac-Forums, scooterboy67.

Yes that is right. A full install disk will allow you to get that iMac back. Better go with Tiger, Leopard isn't released yet. Not sure when it's coming out either, Apple is tight-lipped about the whole thing...
