one of the other wintel support guys here is on the verge.

trying to aim him at the 17" 2.0 imac.

i just sent him links to that page and the hardware page.

i also have a 'date' set up with my wife's boss to show him my macbook on monday. he's ripe for the picking, and might be willing to go to the base 15" macbook pro.
