Thanks in advance for the help. I am looking for software that will allow me to determine what type of network i am connected to (b/g/n). I have a MBP (Mac OS X 10.4.8). I have not found this function native to OS X, but if it is please let me know. Thank you, gjh

Not sure if this will do exactly what you are looking for but look up the software "iStumbler"

This great little tool tells you what networks are in your area, the channel and signal strength of each network along with some other helpful things :)

It also works with bluetooth :)
